The Youth Climate Activation Circle is a volunteer program to empower Dufferin youth to advance local climate solutions.
About the Program
Dufferin’s Youth Climate Activation Circle is an annual program designed to empower 8 youth (ages 16 -25) to advance local climate solutions. Between October 2022 and October 2023 our Youth Climate Ambassadors will participate in climate change training and collectively design and implement a community project that supports greenhouse gas emission reductions in the County’s priority sectors, while sharing their learnings and success to inspire the wider community.
Program Phases
Each year Youth Climate Ambassadors will participate in 3 program phases:
- Training: November – December 2022
- Project Design and Implementation: January – August 2023
- Knowledge Sharing and Program Review: September – October 2023
The 2022/2023 Youth Climate Activation Circle was supported by ICLEI Canada and undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada
